Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of all personal data and Instagram Platform Data that Trustro holds about you. This page explains exactly what gets deleted, how to request it, and the timeline. It is also the landing page for Meta’s automated data-deletion callback — if you revoke Trustro’s access via Instagram, Meta sends a deletion signal here automatically.

A full deletion request removes:

• Your Trustro account (name, email, hashed password, WhatsApp number)
• Your connected Instagram profile data (username, user ID, account type)
• Follower count, following count, and media count snapshots
• Audience demographics and insights data (reach, impressions, engagement)
• Encrypted Instagram access and refresh tokens
• All campaign history, briefs, and messages associated with your account
• Any cached analytics snapshots taken during the connected period

After deletion, your verified analytics profile will no longer be visible to brands, and your account cannot be recovered.

Option 1 — Email request

Email us at privacy@trustro.in with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include:

• Your registered email address or Trustro username
• Whether you want a partial deletion (disconnect Instagram data only) or full account deletion

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually much sooner).

Option 2 — Revoke via Instagram (creators)

Creators can remove Instagram Platform Data specifically (without closing their Trustro account) by revoking Trustro’s access directly in Instagram. Navigate to Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites, find Trustro, and remove access. Instagram will automatically send a deauthorization signal to Trustro, triggering deletion of all Instagram Platform Data — profile snapshots, insights, and tokens — within 24 hours. No additional action is needed on Trustro after revoking.

If you remove Trustro from your Instagram app permissions directly (via Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites), Meta sends a deauthorization webhook to Trustro automatically. This triggers deletion of your Instagram Platform Data within 24 hours — you do not need to take any additional action on Trustro.

If you additionally want your full Trustro account deleted, use Option 1 above (email request) after deauthorizing on Instagram.

Meta may also redirect you to this page after a deletion callback. If you arrived here via Instagram, your request has been logged. You will see a confirmation notice above if a confirmation code was included.

• Instagram Platform Data — deleted within 24 hours of deauthorization or disconnect request.
• Full account deletion — completed within 30 days of a verified deletion request (typically within 7 days).
• Server logs — purged on a rolling 90-day cycle. Logs older than 90 days are deleted automatically.
• Legal retention exceptions — we may retain minimal records (e.g. transaction IDs for tax purposes) as required by Indian law, but only for the legally mandated period.

When your deletion is complete, you will receive a confirmation email to your registered address (if your account data has not yet been removed). For email-based requests, we will also send a confirmation reply within 2 business days acknowledging receipt and again upon completion.
